Pittie.jpgWelcome - Your Pet Can Save Lives!

The Care Center Animal Blood Bank is a well-established, full-service, non-profit veterinary blood bank located at Care Center in Cincinnati, Ohio – a 24/7 Emergency and Specialty Hospital. Our blood bank offers our veterinary community a full assortment of blood products ready to administer should your pet become critically ill and/or require a transfusion. We are pleased to partner with Hill's to provide this valuable, life-saving service.

We have developed this website to help you learn about the importance of our blood bank, the benefits of having your pet become a donor, and to pay tribute to our donors and recipients.

There are many benefits to your pet becoming a blood donor. With each blood donation, your dog receives a free, 35 lb. bag of Hill's dog food! Donors get a complimentary emergency office call yearly (tests and hospitalization not included) as well as comprehensive lab testing performed annually. In addition, should your dog ever develop an illness and need a blood transfusion, we will provide the blood products at no charge, up to the number of units your dog has donated.

If you are a veterinarian in need of blood products, please call: 513.530.0911.

Care Center Blood Bank operates under the medical supervision of Ann Peruski, DVM, MS, DACVECC and the Blood Bank Technicians and Assistants.
